As Chief Counsel, Corporate, Howard is the lawyer responsible for BG Group’s M&A and corporate finance matters globally. Howard trained and qualified at Clifford Chance and he and his team have spent the last nine months working intensively on BG Group’s $50bn merger with Shell, providing strategic advice to the senior executive team on a wide range of issues and challenges. Howard has also led the BG Group legal function through large capital market fundraisings in the US and Europe and on more than $10bn of M&A and business development transactions in the last five years. Howard was also nominated in 2015 as a Rising Star in the Legal 500 Power List.
