Dom Burch
MD & Founder, What Crisis
A former senior director of marketing innovation at Asda, Dom has also held senior social media, PR and corporate communications roles at the supermarket since 2002.
Prior to that he was at Direct Line in London, and Green Flag in Pudsey. He studied PR at Leeds Metropolitan University (94-98).
An award-winning communicator and marketeer, Dom was recognised in 2015 by The Drum as the eighth most influential social media professional in the UK, and by The Holmes Report as one of the top 25 digital innovators in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In 1987, he was the undisputed Berks & Bucks penalty shootout winner scoring ten in a row, his highest accolade to date.
Dom volunteers at Bradford Community Broadcasting in Bradford, where he sits on its management committee, and has been chair of the organisation since Feb 2016. Formerly Dom was a trustee of the Asda Foundation.
He founded his own strategic marketing consultancy in February 2016. His clients include Superdry, L.L. Bean, NSF International and Sun Branding Solutions.
He is also a founding director of retail consultancy GSCOP Ltd.
