Claire Carless is General Counsel and Company Secretary at St Andrew’s Healthcare, a charity based in Northampton that cares for patients with complex mental health needs. Her role at St Andrew’s includes responsibility for audit, risk, insurance, research and estates and facilities, as well as governance and compliance.

Having started her career in private practice, Claire went on to hold senior roles in RWE and Vodafone, before joining Siemens plc as their UK General Counsel, a role she held for 5 years. Claire has substantial experience in managing complex corporate and commercial projects, and ensuring effective corporate governance for major global corporates and charities.

Claire spent four years as a non-executive director for South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, and is currently a member of the Audit and Scrutiny Committee for the University of Oxford.
