  • Started career in matrimonial and criminal in Northampton, moved to Manches & Co in 1989 to join the Corporate team and spent 4 years on corporate transactional and commercial work
  • Joined The Co-operative Bank in 1993 as a Commercial Solicitor, becoming Senior Commercial Solicitor, then Head of Banking Commercial and finally Head of Banking Contract & Commercial for the then merged financial services business, Co-operative Financial Services
  • First lawyer to join Metro Bank, as Sole Counsel, in February 2012, promoted to General Counsel in 2014 and now responsible for a team of 8
  • Runner up In-House Lawyer of the Year at The Lawyer Awards 2016, winner of the Banking In-house individual of the year at The Legal 500 UK Awards 2017, recognised in The Lawyer Hot 100 2017
