Stuart Little
Head of the Business Advisory Division, Shoosmiths
Stuart Little is a Partner at national law firm Shoosmiths, this year’s winner of the “UK Law Firm of the Year” title at the Legal Business Awards.
He heads the firm’s Business Advisory Division which includes Commercial; Employment; Pensions; and Risk & Litigation Services. It advises medium to large corporates (including FCA regulated companies), in addition to public bodies, financial institutions and charities.
Stuart’s own legal background is as a commercial litigator with extensive experience of leading heavyweight commercial disputes with particular emphasis on Technology, Manufacturing and Corporate related disputes (including Warranty Claims, Director actions and Shareholders disputes).
He has worked closely over the years with General Counsel and legal teams and, with the GC of a leading US technology company, pioneered a “Risk Reward” pricing model which was an early winner of the FT Innovative Lawyers Award.
A skilled negotiator, he has wide experience of utilising ADR processes to achieve early commercial resolution, frequently preserving what are important commercial relationships between the parties.
Stuart is a member of the British Computer Society and Society for Computers and Law.
