At The Privacy Practice James provides bespoke consultancy services in Data Protection and Privacy. Whilst also writing the Privacy Practice Blog shining light onto current issues in Privacy and Data Protection. Until earlier this year James was providing policy guidance and designing a privacy programme for the BBC as it develops its big data capability. For over 10 years James headed the BBC’s Information Policy and Compliance Department overseeing the BBC’s systems for compliance with the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts. Before that he worked on a variety of policy and management roles following a career in current affairs and political programmes production.
