Sue joined an award winning in-house team at Telefónica (the brand operating as “O2”) in 2008. Her specialist fields include marketing, consumer and data protection. Much of Sue’s commercial work focuses on data opportunities for this leading network operator, and advising on the benefits and risks associated with innovative big data projects in the mobile sector. Sue is the legal advisor for the information strategy councils that sit within Telefónica and its group companies. She steers the business on a range of matters including, cloud computing, e-commerce, mobile apps, commercial contracts and data protection and privacy issues arising from the provision of heavily regulated mobile (and value-add) services to a base of 22 million customers.  Sue’s also advises and helps to direct her clients on security breaches and incident management and response. She started her career at The Carphone Warehouse.
