Guy Vincent
Consultant, Bircham Dyson Bell
Guy Vincent has 15 years of practical experience managing law firms. As Managing Partner of Bower Cotton in 2000 he merged the majority of that firm into Bircham Dyson Bell. After working in a number of management roles at BDB Guy spent nearly 8 years as Managing Partner. As MP Guy oversaw an increase in turnover from £24m to £36m before the crash. A period of stabilisation followed during which financial systems were reviewed, partner appraisal and remuneration systems upgraded and the business rebranded. A strategic merger was considered but did not proceed. Guy advises partnerships and LLPs on legal and management issues. He writes and blogs regularly on management topics and has tackled a range of subjects including surviving mergers and Zombie firms. In addition Guy has practiced as a corporate lawyer for 30 years and sits on the boards of several businesses and community groups.
